Chelsea Glowacki brings Brand Federation and its clients creativity, inquisitiveness, and an inspiring enthusiasm to learn both the art and science of brand strategy. And her 2023 reading goal is ambitious! Let’s get to know her.
I am a strategy intern this summer.
My goal is to be a sponge and soak in all I can from the Brand Federation team. Since the strategist role is new, I am asking questions and diving into every part of the process. I am helping with client presentations, conducting research, and learning new strategic tools. What inspires me most is seeing how strategy can powerfully impact clients, customers, companies, and the world.
I previously worked in design and bring lots of creativity to my projects! I see problems to tackle through a different lens. I am quite inquisitive and slightly stubborn, so when I want to get to the root of something, I don’t usually stop until I find the answer. Finally, being able to bring optimism and levity to challenges goes a long way, so you can always count on me to see the glass as half full.
I am currently a graduate student at the VCU Brandcenter and was looking for an internship to experience the working world of strategy. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my summer than learning from the Brand Federation team, working alongside brilliant minds, and growing as a budding strategist.
I am a big reader! Trying to hit a goal of 35 books this year (fingers crossed). A recent favorite was Educated by Tara Westover. I know I’m late to the game with that one but it is a crazy memoir that shows the resilience and tenacity of humans and what we can achieve.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, live music, exercising, and puzzles. Being a foodie, I am an adventurous eater and always convince friends to go try a new restaurant with me. Each morning I complete a sudoku puzzle with my coffee. I like the challenge and it gets my mind going. Finally, I have recently started to rock climb with my brother and it's the best of both worlds; exercising and a puzzle!
