My role evolves depending on the client and the project. I was brought in because of my experience in strategic marketing for the nonprofit sector, but I am also a writer, organizational capacity and change management advisor, and will offer strategic guidance based on my subject matter expertise. I am a trained journalist, so interviews are something I enjoy doing as well.
I’m finishing as Engagement Lead for PlanRVA and beginning as Subject Matter Expert and Moderator for The Children’s Guild. I am inspired by learning, engaging, and motivating teams, working with smart people, and making things happen. Delving into complex situations to bring clarity and impactful strategy really makes my day. The clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with bring very different but very important services to their communities and it is inspiring to help them do what they do better.

It’s the ability to bring clarity to chaos and keep things simple. Maybe that’s laservision… :)
Brand Federation’s business model is perfect for where I am in my career. Working with the team for dynamic, diverse clients that resonate with me and fit my skill set is the perfect combination. And what a team! I am honored to be learning from and leaning in to this talented, wicked-smart group. Plus, I’ve known Kelly for, well, decades. What goes around comes around as they say.

I sit on a couple of nonprofit boards and am completely committed to helping these organizations be the best they can be…and grow. Additionally, I am trying to use my creative muscle to write more poetry. I spend time with my 90-year-old Dad, love every minute with my husband Brad who taught many of the folks I work with at BF when he was at the Brandcenter. I also love to be outside as much as possible whether I am working in the yard, walking my beloved brown dog, TrudyMae along the river, or just having a glass of wine at sunset.
